The whole experience felt like a tourist rip off. The cost of the meal was illogical, and I understand that the beef is of the highest standard, but I’ve eaten Kobe at restaurants on the SanPel World’s top 50 list where the whole degustation meal cost less than this place. Putting an award on the table whilst we ate felt like them trying to justify the exorbitant price tag. The service was great but so is most service in Japan. If you’re going to Kobe for the beef, I’d recommend doing more research than we did and finding a small place out of the tourist area that the locals eat at.
